In China, Malcolm defined a business, recruiting staff and establishing a customer base to provide consultancy to develop studios and film production facilities.
In Abu Dhabi, he advised the media authority on the development of the sector from defining the public service role through to providing an environment for independent production. He is a Board member of the film fund that has successfully produced a range of global hits including 'The Help' and 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'.
For dock10, he chairs the Board and works with the management and shareholders to develop a strategy for further growth.
As a Non Executive Director for Factory 42, dock10, Eagle Eye and Image Nation, he played an active role in supporting management, developing strategy and representing the shareholders.
Alongside, Malcolm's experience in the media industry, he has been deeply involved with sport through chairing the professional rugby team, Harlequin F.C., advising Manchester City Football Club on commercial and media strategy as well as the acquisition and management of sports' rights.
